My favourite beach for photo shoots

Huatulco has 9 bays and 36 beaches, but of all of them my favourite for photo shoots is the Bocana de Copalita.

Beyond the obvious, I will explain 5 reasons that make this beach ideal for photography:

 

1. Uncrowded

Compared to the more famous beaches of Huatulco, the Bocana is uncrowded and not infested with restaurants and palapas. Normally surfers and fishermen visit this beach, but you will rarely find this beach crowded with vacationers. 
 

2. It has a myriad of landscapes

Almost 2km long, this beach is the perfect playground for any photographer. There are as many landscapes on this beach as your eyes and imagination will allow.

In addition, the shape of the beach is constantly changing with the tides, making it different every time you visit.
 

3. It is very different from the rest

La Bocana is very different from the rest of the beaches, and although different is not synonymous with better, in La Bocana you will appreciate a different beauty thanks to its rocky landscape, its darker sand and the tree trunks and remains of trees that the river brings from the mountains to the sand.

 

4. The access

It is not the closest beach, but it is very easy to reach by car or motorbike. 

The entrance to the beach is very easy, no trails or long walks, as there is a ramp and stairs attached to the beach that allow anyone to enter without complications.
 

5. The sunrise is spectacular

Not all of Huatulco's beaches offer “sun coming out frome the sea” sunrise , some beaches only offer this view at certain times of the year and others you will never be able to see it at all (assuming you are at sea level).

At the bocana you can see this spectacle every day of the year.
